Let me start by saying that there actually isn’t much information on the Illusion Weaver magic mushroom strain. They say it was created by someone in Florida and it is a mean isolate from an unknown strain.
Anyhow, it grows quite well and is definitely “mean” indeed. It provides a potent and very visually appealing strain, I’d say a bit more on the spiritual balance as well.
I would recommend this for new shroomers to even experienced users.
How much magic mushrooms to take?
It depends what you are looking for, but also another factor as well is your body weight and your last psilocybin intake. Typically I would like to recommend:
- 0.15g-0.5g: Micro-dosing, improving mood and emotion without any impairment.
- 0.5g-1g: Light, happy, warm
- 1g-2g: Stronger buzz, slight change in thinking/speech
- 2g-3.5g: Visual effects (geometric patterns), enhanced lighting
- 3.5g+: The higher you go the higher you get… expect an adventure when you dose higher. Not recommended unless you are experienced!

Not bad, it was overall a well rounded experience. Decent visuals, not that uncomfortable, nice and also a bit spiritual. I got a 2oz mix and match and this was my rank for them:
1) Tidalwave
2) Amazonian
3) Illusion Weaver
4) Malabar

Was a bit of a dull trip if I’m honest. If I’m honest, I think my experiences with LSD and magic truffles may have tainted my experience here, because I was fully prepared for a trip of that nature. Unfortunately, this did not achieve that.
First night I got my order, my wife and I both did a gram. That did absolutely nothing, so the next day (last night), I consumed 7 grams, and my wife consumed 5 grams. I felt slightly nauseated initially, but once that subsided, there was nothing. No visuals. No mental change. Might as well have had some portobello mushrooms or something.
My wifes experience was a bit more well rounded, with occasional visuals, and an almost complete loss of depressive thoughts, which is something she was happy with. But she did feel it was also underwhelming none the less. Overall, it just left us disappointed it wasn’t more a journey.
